Hello Guys
I am modeling the case of natural ventilation in a single heated space. I have drawn a plastic room and drawn around it the fluid which i water. Then I subtracted them from each other preserving the room. I have then drawn a small solid inside the room and subtracted it from the fluid without preserving it. Then I defined that face as a heat source while defining the other faces of the fluid as inlet, outflow, and walls. I have attached the picture of the model.

My problem is in the results I get. They are weird because the heat source is only heating the water below it without heating those above it.

Please advise

Have you considered having the inner box as source rather than just the lower wall?

I have tried to do this but had the same results. Previously I didn't get rid of the box but instead kept it and defined it as a heat source but I had the same results.

Why are you using shell conduction? I mean what is the purpose?

The intention was to duplicate an experiment that was done at our lab and we had stuck to all the data and materials used. Nevertheless, I have solved my problem by deleting both the heat source and the plastic room and only kept the water. Thanks anyway and hope I didn't bother you.
