Discontinuity due to Interior edge !!! -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Babak.Mazhari New Member Babak Join Date: May 2012 Posts: 2 Rep Power: 0	Hi guys, I'm solving the energy equation on two solid zones with the same physical properties separated by an interior type edge. But, I'm observing a small but noticeable discontinuity in the solution at the interior edge which is obviously not correct !!! I'm not using a very fine mesh but I'm confused why is it happening ? If I don't use an edge, the discontinuity will disappear, so it is because of the edge !! Does the interior edge play any role in the computations ?
