Fluidized Bed Definition Issues

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to model a gas-solid fluidized bed using ANSYS Fluent.

It is a simple set up with a bed of glass beads and air entering through the bottom. I am having difficulty with some aspects of the model - in particular the bed does not seem to stop and the whole model contains solids after running the simulation.

I am very new to fluent and would apprectiate anyone who knows how to complete a simulation like this, and would be able to offer some advise.

Please contact if you could help at all - especially in terms of defining the bed.

Hi
There's a 2D tutorial in fluent you can refer to. I can't recall the number of tutorial at the moment. But, if you have any probable difficulty in fluidized bed definition itself, I already prepared a P.P for my course (Process design), I can send it to you if you want.

How do you access the tutorials in Fluent itself?

That would be great if you could send it to me, can you send it through this site or do you need an email address?

Thank you

Hi Friend, could you also send me the 2D tutorial? Thank you very much! bweicc@gmail.com

Azarafza, Hi. It's me again, I just sent you a reply.
I am doing my undergraduate thesis about gas-solid fixed bed involving in heterogeneous reaction.
Could you please sent your P.P to my e-mail. My e-mail ID is liufengustb@hotmail.com

to @Amelia and bweicc, I sent the file to you guys. Check you mails.
to @Liufeng, It's just a P.P regarding fluidized bed, but you're working on fixed bed, I cant find any relation between them. But if you think that it could be helpful, no matter, I'll send it to you too.

Thank you a lot.

I have found two textbooks what you suggest to me where I can look for some data. Thanks a lot.

My fixed-bed is similar to fluided bed, the difference is the gas flow speed is relatively lower compared to fluided bed. But for some reason, I can not get my desired results because of divergence. I am stuck for a few days, and this would influence my graduating form college.

I want to look for some info which is helpful for me to deal with my problem.

I think your thing will be valuable to me.

I need it.

hope you can send it to me.

Thank you.

All the best.

Hi friend,I need a 2D tutorial about simulation of multiphase systems such as fluidized bed using fluent software ,could you send me? Thanks a lot
