Cell Zone definition in VOF Model

1 Attachment(s)
I try to simulate an abstraction of a casting process. As you can see in my pictures the volume is devided into two parts. The one (bigger part) of the model for the melt, the smaller one for free volume (designed as air, or an low density fluid...)

- I have two Cell Zone Condition, one for melt, one for air and can define the material with the edit function (mixture, phase1, phase2). The same way with the boundary condition of this geometry.

- When I initialize the simulation any part has the volume fraction of air and the melt might only flow through the inlet into the geometry.

Does anyone know how to set up different materials for a VOF model, so that I have a defiened starting position for the melt.
