hi,
I want to know what is the difference between 2D asxissymetric and symmetry
my problem basically if a 2D axissymetric one but its geometrical configuration doesnt support it so im considering it as just symmetry.
will it effect on my solution of proble,?

The difference is very important. Axisimmetric is 2D but it solves the problem in cylindrical coordinates. Nevertheless, 2D symmetry solves the problem in cartesian coordinates
