floating layer and sediments

Hi all,

I am modeling mixing of manure in anaerobic digesters. The manure consists of a pseudoplastic liquid containing particles. Part of the particles are small (<1mm) and have a high density, and these particles tense to sediment on the bottom of the digester. Other particles are bigger (+-3cm) and form a floating layer. Any suggestions of how to model this problem? ie. using DPM, Euler-multiphase or mixture-model multiphase?

Thanks in advance,
Gerrald
