Porous medium in dehumidifier.

Hi!

I am working on fluent for dehumidifier, so i have porous medium as spherical balls, i want to make the medium parameterised because if i create all the layers of 50 mm it takes more than a day to update. Any suggestion how to optimize it? Thanks for the reply in advance.

If you are representing the spherical balls as porous medium, why do you need to create the layers? Can you describe your problem in detail?

Dear Bulmer,

Many thanks for the reply.I am attaching the image. Even i had a feeling that i am going on wrong way, so my purpose is to fill the area between substrate, i mean basically the height between two circular plates with spherical balls i.e silica gel pellets so that it dries the air. Accordingly i have to observe the heat transfer and pressure loss when i increase or decrease the height. I know there is an option known as porous medium in Ansys fluent but i am confused with direction vectors. Awaiting for your earnest reply?

Regards,
OJ.
