Some questions concerning direct Aeroacoustical simulations using Fluent
Hello everybody,
I'm a beginner user of Fluent, and I have to perform some aeroacoustical calculations, so I would be very grateful if someone could help me. I'm studying jet noise produced by an in-duct hot (90 degrees Celsius) air injector. A mesh of the injector has already been done for aerodynamic calculations. And I want to use this model to do direct aeroacoustical calculations. 1) Is it ok to use the same mesh? 2) After a lot of research, I think I determined the solver and solution method to use, but I would like to confirm this with a more experienced user. So I'm doing a -Transient simulation -SAS model or LES model -Acoustic FWH model on (source: injector, and 3 receivers spread arround the source (inside and outside the source surface) -Using a density based explicit solver -ROE-FDS flux -CFL=1 -How can I determine the timestep and the number of timesteps? -I used the BCs used for the aerodynamic simulation Thank you very much in advance for your replies. Good day to all |
Anyone??? I really need help here!

Thank you for your answer, it's a good tutorial. However I still need an answer to my questions...
