Patching a solid volume with k-omega model

Hello,

I am studying the flow in a duct, where I have a fluid and solid volumes, and I start simulating with a laminar flow. After, when I want to change the viscous model, I change to k-omega model, but I apply this model at the fluid zone, using patch option, because I want to use the previous data of my simulations. My question is if I should patch the solid volume too, or k-omega only affects the fluid zones, and for this reason, I don't have to use it in the solid volume?
