Re: Thermal Energy Storage modelling

Hi,
I am working on Thermal Energy storage. In the attached figure, inside an enclosure, water (at 310 K) flows in U-tube, the enclosure contains gallium (MP=302.9 K). Thus melting should occur. 1. I want to know how should i go about in setting up the problem. Should i go for heat exchanger model? 2. Which boundary conditions should i give to the exchanger walls? Heat transfer should occur on the walls leading to melting. Any suggestions are most welcome. I have attached the geometry. The walls of the enclosure are adiabatic Thanks, Yash |
