Hi everyone,
i'm trying to model the turbulence in a free convective flow. What is an adequate value of y+ (so i can see if the dimension of the grid that i've generated is correct?). Now i'm using k epsilon model with standard wall functions.

Hi David,
First you decide which turbulence model is best suited for what you're trying to simulate.
Then you decide on the wall treatment you want to use.
You Y+ value will depend on both these things.
For example, the k epsilon model with standard wall functions requires a high value of Y+. generally between 100-300
