How to Set Pressured Outlet Boundary Condition?

Hello,
I am trying to model a portion of a pump-driven flow in a pipe and I am not sure about its BCs. I set the Velocity Inlet for the inlet with a specific fluid velocity. For the outlet, I can choose "Pressure Outlet" BC, but it also ask for a temperature that I am not sure. Can anyone advise on BCs of pumped flow (so the outlet is not zero pressure)! Thank You. |

In my opinion the temperature of the pressure outlet for an continous system isn't that important. The fluid flows out of your system and the heat-transport against your flow direction isn't significant.
In order to avoid bad residuals I usually choose the inlet temperature or the reference temperatur. Actually I can't remember a tutorial case where the outlet temperature where really important for the results. |
