Dear colleagues I have a problem with an unphysical increasing of discrete phase concentration in recirculation zones. The domain is an ordinary diffuser with opening angle 13 degrees. For fluid flow I use standard k-e model with standard wall functions. DPM is solved by coupled method. Under-relaxation factor for dpm is 0.01. After getting converged solution for fluid flow a recirculation zone appeared nearby the outlet of the domain. As a result after some injections of dpm I got too high concentration of solid phase in this zone and near the wall of the diffuser. By the way the problem is solved in steady manner.
I’ll be appreciate for any ideas how to avoid this issue. Thanks. |
