Hello everyone,

I’m trying to draw the tangential, axial and radial velocity for flow section, the velocity profiles I got is not symmetric while it should be symmetric on axis … I found in other post in cfd-online that they say “In cfx post go to turbo mode then define your rotation axis next click calculate velocity components. Now you can plot the variables you need

Kindly how can I change the rotation axis in cfd post? Do you think this will solve the problem?

Kind regards

Hope I understand you in the right way.

You can define new perspictive of your results in contours, vectors etc.

You can only use displaying of component x or y or z. (If you use x and y you have the radial components of you vector

You can export your cell velocity values with file-interpolate and marking the vectors and the region

Or was your question to redefine the coordiante system from carthesian to cylindrical coordinate system?

when you click the Turbo tab there is a button at the bottom to Define the global Rotation Axis.

Thank you very much for the advice, but kindly why i get the error in the pic below?
I'm trying to define the rotation to be on Y axis ... should i change other components other than the global axis?
