can some one tell me how to set initial scalar dissipation in non-premixed combustion, steady flamelet. How could i know what is the value of my scalar dissipation? may i read it from previous non-premixed combustion calculation? and if not, how to calculate? And what is the proper value for maximum number of flamelet and scalar dissipation step?
Thank you veryvery much!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you got the answer? I am facing the same issue. I hope you've already solved it as already 5 years gone since you asked the question !

I know that this is an old post. But I cant find any straightforward way of calculating the scalar dissipation rate. I am using propane/air for non-premixed combustion. Even though I have the stoichiometric mixture fraction, I cant find a way to use it to get X. There are some papers and explanations online but its a bit hard to understand.

I would appreciate any help!

thanks
