Hi guys
I want to calculate bulk temperature in a pipe. Can anyone help me to write a udf for this job.

thanks very much

You want to calculate T_bulk when, why, for what, each iteration, each time step?... Without details, nobody can help you. Plus you are not on the udf forum.

A UDF is not required for calculating the average temperature in the domain. Instead, use Postprocessing > Reports > Volume Integrals.

Thanks ‚e,
My simulation is Transient and I have vortex shidding around cycl (cycl is in channel {internal flow} )
And during simulation Nuselt change on wall up/down channel so I have to compute Average Nuselt during all time steps,...
but I don’t know how can I do it,....
I know for steady simulation do it ( find Tbulk in report > surface integral > mass weight...> ....and set it in Reference Value then report and lab lab lab)
But for transient simulation it is not true,...
And I don’t know how can I find it,....
Please help me,....
Best regards

The bulk temperature can be calculated for each iteration by employing a volume monitor from Solution > Monitors > Volume Monitors and using the same report settings as before. Similarly, the Nusselt number could be calculated by selecting the corresponding Field Variable under Wall Fluxes... > Surface Nusselt Number.
