Brownian motion in particle tracking

Hi,

I am simulating a very simple case of surface injected particles flowing through a straight channel. If there is no Brownian motion, everything is fine as the concentration contour at each cross section is similar. However, once the Brownian motion is turned on, particle concentration at the inlet is not uniform and there is a very obvious concentration gradient, which does not make sense.

I searched the problem, and someone is saying the Brownian motion in Fluent is not very good and a UDF is needed. Is that the case?

Best,
