Can't Update FLuent Setup with active Connections in Mesh

Hello,

i have a Problem with my model. (Working with Workbench and Fluent)

When i normally aktivated my Connections in the mesh i cant go forward to the Fluent Solver. It cames a Error:

"Update failed for Mesh component in ***. Error updating cell Mesh in system ***. View the messages in the Meshing editor for more details."

and when i look there i find the message:

"The mesh file exporter failed during translation. Please send your data to your support provider."

So ill tried to suppres all connections, its working then, but my problem is i need the connections for the heat transfer.

So i looked thrue the connections and found some which are "unrealistic" so i went down with the tolerance value. Now there are only connections wich are realistic.

But i cant open fluent either. If i only aktivate a few connections it works, but then i get the message in fluent when i initialize that "Interface zones overlap for mesh interface ***. This could adversly affect your solution."

Ans then when i try to look up the boundary Conditions Fluent shuts down.

The mesh consits of round about 5 million elements.

Does anybody know the problem, or have a idea why it behaves like that?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello,

I had same problem. To solve it, the entire path to the file of the project, together with all the names in your project folder should not contain local characters and spaces. Example:
E:/homework/work-1/files/projectname/example.msh
The next thing is to go back to version 12.1 of Ansys, and this is all.

If you see the following message:
"The mesh file exporter does not support overlappiing geometry in named seletions",
must correctly name all the elements of the grid, before it goes up for Setup/Fluent. But is not necessary. Example: inlet, outlet, wall, fluid.Try not to use own names.

If spaces or something else in the path-name would have caused the problems i would have found that ;) i proofed that ... and now spaces or local characters were in it .... so that wasnt the problem ... and never had the other message ;)

so still dont know what was the problem ...

Do you have same problem in Ansys version 12.1? Install it pls.
