negative volume

Hiiii,
Can anyone give me some idea of negative volume? when i m importing my mesh from icem to fluent its give negative volume.

Hi
I don't know much about it. As far as I know, it means that negative volume exists in your model and you didn't mesh the geometry properly. But one thing is sure. You have to reconsider your model and mesh it again.

Thanks for ur concern Azarafza...
I m meshing airfoil wing in icem. blocks with negative volume is found at trailing edge of the airfoil. what r d possible method to remove it? Since i m new in icem cfd i didnt knew it.

Just try to change the space between meshes in the mentioned edges. Use structured mesh if you can,as well. Even change the mesh scheme. Just one more thing, do you use axisymmetric boundary condition in your model? This error often happens when some nodes are below of the axis which would results in negative volume in rotating.
