Hi Mariana,
can you explain more what is your problem?
Where do you want to change colors?2d plot? contours? vectors? pathlines?

Post some pictures if you can.

so as you can see in the image, there is one hull( vessel) and water. i want to change the color. so it is not the same .....

Hi Mariana, I understand; so you want only to have a picture of water and hull, without contours?Something like water in blue color and hull in brown?

If so, you can do this by (instructions for ansys 14.x.x):

1- Display->mesh: select surfaces of hull and water
For capture the water/air interface if you are using vof you can create iso-surface with water fraction=0,5.
select only faces and display.

2- Display->scene: select on the left the water iso-surface and click "display"; select only visible, lighting, faces, outer faces, choose face color on the right from the drop down menu; adjust the color: if you want blue just move the cursor to 255 for blue and green and red to 0; then close the window.
Select walls of hull on the left, deselect the water iso surface; click display and do what you have done before, but change color.

3- Save the picture: file->save picture

Which contours do you want to plot?
In the attached pictures you have plotted contours of z coordinate; since there's not much difference in height, colors are very similar.
If you want to plot contours and colors are very similar you can try to change colormap colors (Display->colormap), but since values are very similar there will be not much difference in colors...

Or when you plot contours deselect "auto range" then input min (a bit under water surface) and max (a bit above hull) values for z coordinate (if you want to plot z coordinate).
This will spread colormap color in a smaller z range.
