please help me
i want to model vof model of lateral intake in U flum it is .6depth that the water debpth is .15 m i uceadaopt region and patch to patch the water zone and seperate inlet to 2 part to set velocity inlet for water and air but i ant recieve answer please help |

i want to model 3D vof model in lateral intake of U flume to do this,i have tried to model in gambit like picture the depth of canal is 60 cm and water depth is 15 cm in fluent i use adopt->region to creat to zone of water then i tried initialize and then patch te region and volume fracton of water to 1. and strat to iterate but it does not seem to run good |

This is the part that you need to be much more specific about.
Do you get error messages? Does Fluent crash? Do you get the wrong result? We can not look into your computer, so if you want your problem to be solved you need to explain what your problem is. |

Be more specific!
What is wrong about your results? Velocities? Densities? Temperature? How do you know they are wrong? What are you comparing them to? This is the last time I am going to ask you to be more specific, if you still failed to explain you problem in your next post, I give up. |

I get wrong result in velocity
I creat surface in depth that shoud show logarithm profile but my result doesny shoe logarithm porofile and velocity in surface is less than in bottom |

I initialize that all variable to zero
and turbulence to 1 after run I get false result |

I model u shape flum
velocity inlet for inlet outflow for outlets symmetry for top i model one-phase in my solve panel i use second order upwint and simple |

Which is the Top? Why Outflow BC? DO you have fully-developed flow with normal zerfo-flux diffusion of all variables (expect the pressure) |

outfloe,because i have to instet the dishcharge ratio between to outlet i dont get what u mean by zero flux difussion |
