macfly is on a distinguished road
Neither Fluent user's guide nor theory guide explains how Fluent calculates the mean beam length for a given geometry.

Is there a way to access the value calculated by Fluent?

I found simple correlations for mean beam length in [Michael F. Modest, Radiative Heat Transfer, 3rd Ed., 2013] but I'm curious to know what Fluent uses and what it obtained for my complex geometry.

Regards,
François
