Droplet evaporation in fluidised bed. Help with the model?
 

Hi,
I am currently trying to model a droplet impact with a particle surface in a heated fluidised bed.
The droplet consists of a polymer dissolved in water. The droplet is at ambient temperature and the fluidised particles and surrounding air are heated to around 350K. As the droplet falls the water component evaporates gradually. If it is partially evaporated, it will adhere to the particle surface and continue to dry. Multiple successful droplet impacts will leave a thin film surrounding the particle. Fully evaporated droplets will be collected as losses in the form of a powder.

The droplet will be modelled as an object on the mesh. I am using Fluent 14 for simulations.

I would like help with how best to model the evaporation and do I need to create UDF’s for thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity?
