Propeller Thrust

1 Attachment(s)
hi
I'm simulating two propellers rotating in opposite directions in fluent to calculate their thrust.
I used multiple reference frame as a steady approximation of real condition.
I've attached a screenshot of the gambit file. In two small cylindrical frames the air is set a rotational speed in the direction that the propeller should have been rotating and the blades are fixed.
The problem is the final result is almost half of the experimental thrust.
I've used different turbulency models, different domain sizes, different boundary conditions and have almost changed everything but got no better results.
The velocity vectors and pathlines look fine. Even tried it with a 4 Millions cells mesh.the thrust is still half of what it should be.
After the solution is converged I go to Results>Report>Force set the direction to (0,1,0) -which is the propellers rotating axis- select two propellers and read the force. Is this how i should get the thrust? What am I doing wrong? :/
I really appreciate it if anyone can help me. thanks for your time :)

Hi friend,

I going to simulate a marine propeller too.
But I don't know where I should start.
Could you share me your experience?
Thank so much!
