Plotting contour magnitudes next to contours
 

Hi their,

I was reading a journal in which the author was presenting data from a fluent simulation, and he managed to present the magnitude of each contour band next to the actual contours themselves, like in the image attached. I'm really curious as to how he has done this, if anyone could let me know that would be great.
