Hi,
I simulate wind blowing over an aluminum plate with a thickness of 1.5mm. At the bottom of the plate there are several pipes with a heat transfer fluid. The plate and the pipes are of the same material and connected in one solid. The solar load model heat my plate up. All the Interface Zones are created correctly by FLUENT. But, if I change the dimensions of the plate (it is not a flat plate, it is a trapezoidal sandwich construction) in some cases with some specific dimensions FLUENT puts all the Interface Zones (the aluminum-air Interface and the aluminumtube-heat transfer fluid Interface in ONE Interface Zone. Why? Is it because of the small distances between the thin aluminum plate and the inside of the tube?? I hope somebody can help me, thanks a lot in advance. Savoy |

Here is a picture of my trapezoidal sandwich construction. I want to study the influence of wind blowing over different dimensions of the sandwich construction. For example a different sizes for my ribs. I try to highlight the dimensions in my picture that I want to change.

Hi
There's no face in fluent, they are just mesh nodes and faces. So you can just scale the mesh. Do you change plate size by scale? if yes no problem would happen, if no how you change the plate size? |

Hi,
I change the dimensions of the geometry in the DesignModeler. I don't understand what you mean with "change by scale" or "just scale the mesh", excuse me. I want to model different types of sandwich panels, there are panels with high ribs or small ribs with different distances between the ribs. Thank you. |
