Grid Convergence Index
 
Hello dear friend

I'm studying on the grid convergence index, presented by Celik, et al whose their article in this case can be found in the link below:

Now I have got some question that how can I calculate area of each cell mentioned in step 1 of this article and then do I need to calculate area of all cells? How come it is possible?:eek:
I'm So confused:confused:

Check out these papers:
Roache 1997 "Quantification of numerical uncertainty in computational fluid dynamics".
Freitas, 2002 "The issue of numerical uncertainty"

There is a clear explanation on how to compute GCI. I don't think you need to compute the area of each cell.
