2D Sinusoidal waves Air - Water
Hello everyone!
I'm trying to create a very simple simulation of a 2d flow with fluent. I'd like to simulate a 2d water flow through a canal (or deep sea, it doesn't really matter). The bottom boundary condition is a wall. The simulation should have a free surface between air and water which should have sinusoidal waves. I'm guessing the best way to do this is to have a velocity-inlet in one side and a pressure-outlet in the other, while using some kind of udf to produce sinusoidal waves in the free surface but I don't know how to do this or where to look for examples to learn. Do you guys know of a good tutorial on sinusoidal waves boundary conditions? or where can I find an example for a udf function that simulates a wave? Is there a better or more simple way to do this? Any help is really appreciated, I'm kind of lost in the woods here. Let me know if you need more details. Thank you. |
