swirl flow

I am doing a 3d swirl flow simulation with annular jet and 8 tangential ports to impart swirl ....in order to mesh with hexes i had to slice the geometry so it resulted in 3 parts ...now everytime i initialize the data ...the simulation only takes place till the exit point of the annular jet ....but i want the results to be shown on a region of interest that i have made above the combustor .....so can anyone plz help me in mesh interfacing...

Hi
I am guessing that the interface is seen by fluent as a wall. So try to name the interface and check out how it is when you are exporting your mesh into fluent.
cheers!

thank u very much for the reply ....but i could not solve the issue so i kept the whole combustor as it is meshed with tetrahedrons ..although the element count increased but i performed it with a k-e model (RNG) swirl dominated flow with swirl factor 0.9 ..turbulent intensity of 14% and viscosity ratio of 5%.. i got results ..with residuals below 1e-04..but i am not getting any recirculation zone above the annular exit can u plz tell me which model should i use for best results and my boundary conditions are ...velocity of air in annular jet=velocity of air in central jet =1 m/s and tangential velocity from each of eight inlet=10m/s ...i got these results at different time
