Finite-Rate/Eddy-Dissipation problem
I' m trying to simulate combustion with Finite-Rate/Eddy-Dissipation model. I have 7 reactions and I want to choose only eddy dissipation at one of the reactions. How can I do that?

I am setting up a very simple case.
My reaction is shown as below: CH4 + 2O2 ----k----> CO2 + 2H2O Pre-Ex 2.119e11 Ea 2.027e5 unit j/mol First I chose Finite-Rate/Eddy-Dissipation as my combustion model, there is no combustion at all even after I initialized my case with 2000K! Later I only use Eddy Dissipation model, then the combustion comes. Actually,I need to include the effect of Arhenius law and turbulent into my reaction model. Do you know why I can't use the first model? How should i do? Regard Tleja |
Hi. maybe your arrhenius values are wrong. where did you get these values?
