Hi,

I am trying to run Fluent v14.0 on 8 cores and am having a problem.

It works as normal then after several minutes Fluent disappears without any warning.

When I check the error log file it says:
"Error [node 999999]" Abnormal exit

How can I fix this problem?.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had also this problem with parallel solver on an 8 cores single workstation (error after 3-4 hours after starting simulation).
I was running fluent with non ecc ram on an asus z9pe-d8 ws motherboard; when i switched to ecc ram the problem was solved (I think issue was in the specific motherboard, not in ecc/non ecc ram).

Maybe it's an hardware related problem..

The abnormal exit happened again and this time it has created a .lock file instead of errorlog file...
I'm not understanding whats wrong with my Fluent 14.0..

My fluent 14.0 worked well till yesterday after changing RAM. Today its just crashed cause of the same problem Abnormal Exit. I am struck and not able to do simulation. It runs only for 10 iterations and disappears automatically. Can you help me to resolve this?

Inside the fluent-0-error.log file

Error [node 0] [time 5/1/15 22:8:50] Abnormal Exit!

Hi all,

Resolution:

Add the REMOTE_FLUENT_SSH=1 variable to the FLUENT R14.0 Launcher Environment tab before loading your case and data file.

Hope this help

Hello
I know this is an old post. But, I am facing the same problem. Where should I write SSH=1?

Should I write it in the environment tab box?

THANK YOU
