Hi, I read several thread in forum about y plus/ y star for RANS turbulence model. From that I can see not really no which value is correct.
For k-epsilon model, from Fluent guid and threads, Enhanced wall treadment give good result because It can handle all grid. But from my test (with cavitation), enhanced wall gave not really good results, while Scable wall function gave nice results compare to experiment. (My mesh, Y+ is between 2-8, some where reach to 30).
For k-omega model, both standard and SST model use Enhanced wall function. I made other mesh which give y+<1. I did calculation with low Re option, the result is in-accurate, on the other hand, without low Re option, the result is much more better. But from Fluent user, they said should use Low Re option if y+<1.
So I dont know which y+ is good for each model. Some one can give me the ans?
And for Enhandced wall Treatment and k-omega wall treadment, which y+ value should be use?
