Version13 & Version 15 : unsteady DPM with steady Flow
Hi,
I don't understand why under the fluent version 13. i can use unsteady dpm (just unsteady particle tracking without interaction with the flow : uncoupled calculation) with a steady flow. But when I try to use the 15. version, it returns this message : Attention : For steady flow cases, unsteady particles are available only, if interaction with continuous phase is enabled" I hope, im clear thanks for your replies !! |

If you are a hostage of people who will free you if you explain this difference between versions 13 and 15 to them, and allow you to use internet to find this out, you could better use internet to inform the local police. Otherwise, please stop devaluating the term "urgent", or explain why your question is more urgent than the other questions on this forum. </sarcastic mode> More seriously, I think the only change between versions is that version 15 gives the warning. In version 13, if you selected unsteady dpm in a steady flow without interaction, you would just get steady particle trajectories because that is the only logical outcome. Maybe somebody complained through the helpdesk that the particle trajectories in such a case were steady, even though unsteady was selected, and a programmer added this remark. |
@ PAKK :
First, I think your "sarcastic mode" is of no help for the discussion. Secondly, if I added "urgent" to my topic, for just one reason, it's been two days that I tried/and I try hardly (check on Ansys guides, internet, forums) to find the answer to my question. Finally, thanks for your answer. Regards, |
I agree 100% that the text in my sarcastic mode was not helpful for the discussion you wanted to start. That was not the goal.
The goal was to make clear to you (and other readers) that it is not helpful to add "urgent" to the title of a thread. I understand that it can be frustrating to search for an answer for several days without result, but that does not make your problem urgent. Seeing your reaction, the 'sarcastic' part of my post was not received by you in the way I intended it, so maybe I should try a different communication style in the future. Good to hear that you could use the second part, the answer. |
