Hi,

I'm looking to track particle (using DPM) in steady flow. So, I run first the fluid phase till convergence (the convergence is obtained after 3000 iterations). After that, I injected particles to the fluid but I don't know how many iterations should I impose !! Does the DPM tracking depends on the number of iterations ?? Since my fluid phase is converged is it necessary to run more iterations ?? I'm really confused , thanks for your help

LuckyTran will become famous soon enough
If this is a steady state simulation, run the DPM after your flow solution is converged. You don't need to iterate the flow anymore. There are some settings in DPM menu, but you can leave those as defaults. There are some sub iterations in the DPM when the particles are injected to track their trajectory.

LuckyTran, Yes I'm runing a steady state, and I want to run DPM after my flow is converged without iterating the flow again ..
when you talk about "some settings in DPM menu" what did you talk about ?? I checked all DPM box but I didn't find something let me run the DPM !! Thanks for your help

Please, is any there here to help me.
So, I try to simulate sediment transport in river.
This is my condition : Steady flow (stationnary flow) with Uncoupled approach (one way coupling) and of corse the DPM is unsteady.

I search a way to run the DPM without running again the flow (Since the flow is converged so i think its not useful to run the flow again when I run the DPM), but in DPM setting Box I don't find a way to do this ??

If you have answer for my question it will be great

Thanks all
