Hi there,

I'm currently working on a simulation of a 2D naca airfoil/blade to compare the results from my simulation with experimental data which I obtain from a measurement in a wind tunnel. Especially I'm interested in the loss coefficient behind the naca blade and the velocity ratios (c2/c1).

I'm using the Transition SST model and some data (turbulent intensity, turbulent length scale) which were obtained in some previous experiments. The results of my simulation look good with regard to general behavior, but I encounter high loss coefficients in the trail of the blade which are about 30 percent higher than my experimental data.

So, why is fluent producing higher losses? Is there anything I can do to reduce those losses?

I set the wall roughness height on 0 and the roughness constant on 0.5 (standard).

Thanks in advance!
