problem in conjugate heat transfer
hi everyone
i'm modeling the conjugate heat transfer. there are 3 solid zones and 1 fluid region .only one of the solid regions is in the contact with the fluid . I have some questions : 1 - how much interfaces should i creat between the zones ? suppose that i want to create a interface between a solid and fluid . i should creat 2 interface 1 for solid and 1 for fluid and there will be appear 2 shadows besides in fluent ( 2 interface and 2 shadows) or just i should creat 1 interface for solids in contact region and 1 shadows will be appear in fluent ? 2 - should i creat a interface for the contact region of 2 solid parts ? 3 - if i split my solid geometry into 2 parts i must creat 2 interfaces or 1 interface with 2 faces for that geometry ? 4- there is a connection section in meshing part of ansys . shoud i creat a bonded contact between the contact regions or the interfaces are enough ? (please excuse me for my poor english ) regards reza |

thank you very much LuckyTran
how can i creat an interface ? should i creat a named selection for the faces which 2 zones are connected called interface and select the inteface boundry condition in fluent or i must select a wall boundry condition for that and select coupling in thermal condition ? for the forth question i mean this : http://upload7.ir/imgs/2014-12/85472955945794987168.jpg should i creat a contact between 2 regions here ? another question is how can 2 regions's mesh connected to eachother ? thanks again |
