How to apply these schemes in 2D transient flow over bluff body
Hi everyone,
I am beginner in CFD, and need to solve a problem in Fluent as a project. In my case a fluid at Re 450 is flowing over a bluff body (square in 2D) near a wall. How can I use these in Fluent: 1) Staggered arrangement of variables 2) Third-order upwind-biased scheme for Convective terms in governing equations 3) Time advancing by successive over relaxation method 4) Solve pressure by HSMAC (highly simplified marker and cell method) I am tyring to use: 2D and Double Precision; Solver: Pressure based, transient;Models:- Viscous: Laminar, Energy: Off; Solution Methods:- Scheme: SIMPLE, Gradient: Least Square Cell based, Pressure: Standard/2nd Order, Momentum: First/2nd Order upwind, Transient Formulation: 1st/2nd order Implicit; Default Under Relaxation factors; Calculations:- Time step 0.01 s, 1000 time steps, 20/30 iterations per time step. But unable to get desired/correct results for Cd, Cl etc. so far. Please guide me for learning CFD/Fluent better. |
