surface injection

Hello everyone.

I am trying to inject n-heptane to cylinder filled with air. I am using surface injection. Diameter of the surface is 0.3 mm. The time of injection is 2 ms. And the total mass of n-heptane that should be injected is 0.0306 g. Density of n-heptan is 684 kg/m3.

First I calculated total flow rate as 0.0306g/2ms = 0,015kg/s
Then velocity magnitude using: total flow rate = n-heptan density * surface area * velocity magnitude. Is this correct because v=300 m/s?
My surface has 57 cells so in one time step 57 particles will be injected. Diameter of particle is 1e-5 m.

Let's say that Start and stop time of injection is 0 and 0.002 s (injection duration 2 ms) and time step size = 0.0001. So what will be mass injected in one step size (0.0001s) ? - 57* particle volume * n-heptane density? or it depends on total flow or step size ?
Do I have to select "Scale flow rate by face area" ?

Thank you all for help.

Maciej
