Porous- jump flow velocity profile

Hello,

I am trying to simulate the flow inside a holder (it is a divergent nozzle, a cylinder where the filter is located and a convergent nozzle) where there is a filter (high pressure drop filter). However the results that i take are pretty strange.

I expected to have a u shaped velocity profile. However, the velocity in the middle decreases and it is higher in the wall. it seems that the flow in the middle (where the velocity is higher before the filter ) when it sees the filter turns arround and to the wall creating some vortexes.

The flow is in the begining turbulent (5000 Reynolds). I use a massflow inlet (as i know the massflow) , outflow outlet and pressure jump for the filter as boundary conditions. I use the k-e realizable model.

Do anybody else experience the same velocity profile? thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!! :))))

I am waiting for your fruitful suggestion
