PEMFC module manual for Ansys fluent 12.1 (2011)
 

Back in 2011 I started writing a fuel cell module manual for version 12.1 of fluent when I was actively working in that area. I never quite finished it so I never published it officially. I have posted it other threads and send it around via email and private messages to people. I'm posting it here in it's own thread so that it is easier to find. It's on research gate now so the link should be permanent, I hope.

I'm afraid I can't answer any questions about the topic anymore. I've since forgotten everything about what I wrote in there. It is old now, but I suspect there still isn't anything as comprehensive and detailed out there and a lot of it is probably still relevant. If anyone wishes to edit it and update it for a modern version, go ahead.

I'm afraid I don't have any working case files anymore so i can't share those.

creating material points
 

Dear Adam,
Thank you very much for your manual "Proton exchange membrane fuel cell modeling and simulation using Ansys Fluent 12.1". Its really helpful for me.
Please help me at a point where I've clogged & cant move further.

Problem:

ICEM CFD, while creating material points inside the volume, I've tried to create the required points (by keeping the view normal to that surface), but finally the points are somewhere behind that volume.

The problem is u have not selected the exact surface for creating the material point and hence is showing outside the domain. May be some quick tutorials on creating material point in ICEM-CFD can help u. Thanks.
