Hi dear friends,
I am simulating a turbine. This turbine have 6 blades((360/6)=60 deg=angle between blades). Due to the circumferential symmetry, only one sixth of the annulus has been computed, imposing periodic boundary conditions in the tangential direction. In my model, the computational domain has been restricted in the axial direction to four chord lengths upstream and six chord lengths downstream of the blade. the whole turbine is as follow: what does the exact meaning of 'mixing plane' in third figure? I divided the mesh into two domains. Now, should I use Interface? If I should use Interface, In what part of the computational domain? I have use periodic option of Gambit(specify boundary type) for periodic boundary condition. But according to the following figure(this figure is obtained one paper), periodic is interface, Why? Thanks, Best, Aja Last edited by aja1345; August 12, 2015 at 08:54. |
