hi every body, greetings
i'm going to model a 2D oscillating cylinder by Gambit and analyze it using Fluent. the first step is to define boundary conditions in Gambit; i consider if i can define cylinder's boundary as "wall", "periodic", "interface" or any other B.C? i'll be so glad to hear your fruitful comments. moreover, i'd like to get more information on oscillation modeling in fluent tutorials, is there any? how can i get it? thanks |

dear Far
i'm so glad to have your comment as a guideline; but as i am new to it, let me ask for more possible description on this solver. does it mean i need to use UDFs? how can i enable or find it on fluent? thanks in advanced |

first i'm happy to say i got how to enable 6DOF solver in Fluent the question is how to apply oscillating motion? I saw there was 'gravitational acceleration' to be defined! i just know the oscillation frequency and no other data i have! |
