Strange faded colour when look at 2-d plane contour

2 Attachment(s)
Well I will try my best to describe this not that complicate problem.

I'm doing a two phase flow, 3D simulation using fluent. when displaying filled contour of volume fraction of one phase, the colour becomes a "faded" colour when looking at 2D plane, e.g. straight front X-Z plane. e.g. the place supposed to be volume fraction 1 which is dark red on colourmap becomes a orange-red ish colour. The colour gradually changes to normal if I'm not looking at straight 2D view (rotate it to anywhere).

Please have a look the attached pictures. Fig 1, straight X-Z plane (with "faded" colour); Fig 2, normal colour when rotate the view.

Thanks for any suggestions, I just want to show a normal volume fraction contour with normal colours on colourmap!.

by the way, I'm displaying a surface (plane surface) on X-Z plane in this case.

Solution to Faded

Yulu,

Obviously this is probably a little late but for anyone who is having a similar issue, the following procedure fixes the problem:

In the Fluent toolbar, go to the "Viewing" tab and deselct the "Lighting" box under the "Display" section.

Hopefully this helps someone!
