Using DPM to get the Spray

Hello everybody,

I am working on a geometry which is actually 3D, but for the starting phase, I am using a 2D model. It is the part of the combustion chamber in the rotary IC engine. My main task is to design the fuel injector, to get the spray from the injector. Initially I am using a simple circular pipe as a fuel injector. The outlet of the fuel injector is 0.1 mm.
I have read few tutorials for the DPM. Please tell me what can be the thing to start with a injection ?
Do I need to design the injector physically ?
If some of you have some good useful tutorial on the Spray modelling, please send me on my email ID.

If someone wants to hands on with my problem, I will send my mesh file with boundary condition.

All suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.

Hi pkp,

I am trying to simulate spray cooling of metal pieces.

Have you found a suitable tutorial? I have seen the tutorials that ANSYS provides but I need to include heat transfer (I need to investigate cooling of the metal piece depending on spray parameters).

Is your model working now?

Thanks!
