Making an infinite mesh using BC?

Hello!
I'm working on an air nozzle used to remove a mineral wool away from collecting chambers perforated drum. The air nozzle is fixed inside of the drum and blowing air goes through the holes of rotating perforated drum. Layer of mineral wool is on the outter side of the drum and it is holding to it due to underpressure inside of the drum. When layer of mineral wool comes to the air nozzle, blowing air impacts with the layer and removes it from the drum. The problem is 2D. I intend to use sliding mesh to simulate this process (air nozzle fixed, drum is rotating), but i would not like to make a mesh for entire drum+surroundings (air nozzle is much smaller than diameter of the drum). I don't think that periodic boundary conditions suit for me because fluid flow is not periodic (could be wrong though due to my lack of understanding periodic BC). My question is: Is there a way that i make a section of a drum mesh (let say 30 degrees) and then somehow assign to Fluent that this 30 degrees is repeating over and over again so i would get a sort of infinite mesh? Mesh in GUI would actually be in the same place the wholde time, but the mesh elements would be moving at prescribet rotational velocity. I also enclosed a cross section picture of a nozzl. I hope i was clear enough and sorry for my bad english Thx for any help! David |

Hey,
Have you found a solution? I'm working on a similar movement problem |
