Hi guys,

I am trying to simulate a rigid body (a sphere) motion in a flow field and have decided that the 6 DOF solver might be the one that suits my case.

The question is, on the PDF document from Fluent it says the solver "computes external forces and moments such as aerodynamic and gravitational forces and moments on an object. These force are calculated by numerical integration of pressure and shear stress over the object's surfaces."

Does this mean that the solver automatically calculate the drag force, and even lift force? Also, in my case the fluid is not gas but liquid.

Any help is welcome!
