Hi everyone,
I am working on modelling fluid flow through wire mesh using porous media concept in fluent. I am specifically interested in the pressure drop along the mesh. which kind of modelling will be the most suitable one for this application? I tried both the packed bed and the perforated plate analogy (in fluent). But I am not sure the results are correct as there are few articles regarding experimental studies on pressure drop along a wire mesh.
can someone suggest me the proper modelling technique and some scientific papers concerning experimental study of pressure drop through a wire mesh.
(wire mesh 100x100, 80x80 etc.).
