Hello everybody,
I want to move the upper wall (in negative y-direction) of a frustum of pyramid (first picture). I do this with the option Dynamic Mesh -> Layering -> Rigid Body and use a profile file to specify the direction and velocity of the movement.
My question is, how i can shrink the moved wall also in x- and y- direction too, so that the wall doesn't look like in the second picture below but rather behave like the fluid level of a tank.

An example for an profile file can looks like this:

mvx.prof

((mvx3 point 7)
(time 0.0 2.0 10.0 12.0 14.0 22.0 24.0)
(v_y 0.0 -0.03 -0.03 0.0 0.03 0.03 0)
)

Hello again,

has nobody any idea??

Am I supposed to use a UDF to solve this problem or is there another solution?

Would be glad for any hint.

Regards,

Ok, found out that if you want to move and deform a mesh you have to use a udf.

Dynamic Mesh Define Macros are described here:
https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Flu...udf/node75.htm

In combination with the time dependency you've to use the time-dependent macros:
https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Flu...df/node105.htm

Regards.
