Dear All,

I am trying to do the electrochemical and thermal modeling of Li-ion 18650 cylindrical cells using the Newman P2D Model available in Fluent under the dual-potential MSMD battery models. I am facing a problem when post-processing the results of the simulation.

In the fluent manual under the heading "3.2.8. Postprocessing the Dual potential MSMD battery model" there is a table titled 'User-Defined Memory Allocation' in which there are a total 13 UDMs shown that correspond to various variables. However, when I am postprocessing the results I have a total of 19 UDMs, and I can not figure out which UDM corresponds to which variable. I am specifically looking for 'cell voltage' and 'heat generation rate', so if anyone faced a similar problem or knows from where I can get the values of the cell voltage and heat generation rate then please help me out.

Your response in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Have a look at this table.

On the other hand you can use Set_User_Memory_Name to name the UDMIs.

Thanks for your reply Vasava.

In the table there are only 13 UDMs reported, however, I have a total of 19 UDMs. Any idea why is this so?

What version of fluent are you using? Are you using CFD-post for post-processing?

Right now, I dont have access to Fluent right now but can you check this meanwhile.

I must say, I have very small amount of experience with MSMD Battery Model.
