hi friends,

my doubt is whether I have to half hydraulic diameter specificied when i am considering symmetry along half base width for a rectangular prism. Also do i have to half the value of mass flux? please help, thanks..

The unit of mass flux is kg/(m^2 s) should it be halved too? What about hydraulic diameter?

you could split them half easily. Half hydraulic diameter x 2 = Total hydraulic diameter ? (sometimes it doesnt equal because of cylindrical model). I dont think that it faces a problem for rectangular duct.
Kind Regards,
